At 24-7 & West Wisconsin Telcom, we believe in investing in the future of our communities—and that includes supporting the next generation of technology-driven students.

Supporting Menomonie High School E-Sports

Earlier this year, 24-7 & West Wisconsin Telcom proudly donated $500 to help launch and grow the developing E-Sports Club at Menomonie High School. In addition to the financial contribution, our team provided complimentary wiring for the school’s new E-Sports room, ensuring students have access to the fast, reliable connectivity they need to compete and collaborate.

E-Sports continues to grow rapidly across schools nationwide, offering students opportunities to build teamwork, strategic thinking, communication skills and even pathways into college scholarships and technology careers. We’re excited to play a role in helping Menomonie students access these opportunities.

Expanding Support for Local Schools

Building on this effort, our Board of Directors has approved an ongoing initiative to support E-Sports programs in local schools. Schools with established E-Sports programs can request funding, with:

  • Up to $3,000 available annually across all participating schools
  • A maximum of $500 per individual school

This initiative reflects our continued commitment to education, innovation and community engagement throughout West Wisconsin.

Why Fiber Matters for E-Sports

High-performance gaming requires more than just skill—it depends on a strong, reliable internet connection. Fiber-optic connectivity plays a critical role in delivering:

  • Ultra-low latency for real-time gameplay
  • Symmetrical upload and download speeds for seamless communication and streaming
  • Consistent performance without lag or buffering

By helping wire the E-Sports facility, we ensured students have access to the same level of connectivity used in competitive and professional environments.
