Lifeline is a federal program that lowers the monthly cost of phone and internet. Eligible customers will get up to $9.25 toward their bill. You can only use Lifeline for either phone or internet, but not both.

Do I Qualify for Lifeline?

You can get Lifeline if you (or someone in your household) participates in one of these federal assistance programs:

  • Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), formerly known as Food Stamps
  • Medicaid
  • Supplemental Security Income (SSI)
  • Federal Public Housing Assistance (FPHA)
  • Veterans Pension and Survivors Benefit
  • Tribal Programs (and live on federally-recognized Tribal lands)
  • Qualify Through Your Child or Dependent (if your child or dependent participates in any of the programs listed above)

Apply Online

With bundled services, at least one of the services (voice or internet) must meet the minimum service standard to qualify for a Lifeline discount.

Minimum service standard for home internet: Speed of 25/3 Mbps
