900 Call Blocking

Will prevent all 900 and 976 Information and Entertainment line numbers from terminating at the dialed telephone number.

  • If you choose to not have a 900 Call Block, you are responsible for the full amount charged to your telephone bill. The following applies to your phone services regarding 900 number charges and the collection of those charges.
  • You have 60 days after receiving a bill to dispute 900 pay-per-call billings. While the bill is in review, you have the right to withhold payment for the disputed charges. You should not be billed for pay-per-call services that do not comply with federal laws and regulations. If the charges are found to be legitimate, your long distance carrier has the right to start the collection process against your account.
  • If you do not pay for your legitimate 900 pay-per-call charges, West Wisconsin Telcom has the right to block your 900 access but your local or long distance services cannot be disconnected.
Find Me

Stay within reach and never miss another important phone call with Find Me.

Use Find Me to integrate your home, office, and wireless phone so your callers can reach you no matter where you are. A call to your home can ring your wireless phone, your office phone, and your lake cabin – all at the same time or in an order that you decide.

To Use Find Me Feature:

  1. Dial your exchange then 0997 (example: 664-0997).
  2. Enter your subscriber number (your ten-digit phone number).
  3. Enter your PIN number (last four digits from your phone number).
  4. Listen for the voice prompts.
    1. To turn feature On or Off.
    2. To record your name.
    3. To change PIN number.

 

Speed Call 30

Makes it easier to reach people who are most important to you.

To Program Speed Calling:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *75.
  3. When the dial tone returns, select a code. Use codes 20 to 49.
  4. Dial the code you have selected and complete 10-digit telephone number including “1” (if needed) and press #.
  5. Two beeps of dial tone will indicate that the number is now recorded in your list.

To Call you Speed Call Number:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the speed dialing code and the # key you have selected.

Notes: Speed calls can be used from any telephone on your line.

Automatic Callback

Allows you to dial a code to have your phone continuously attempt to dial a busy number.

To Use Automatic Callback:

  1. When you have received a busy signal, hang up.
  2. Lift the receiver and listen for dial tone.
  3. Dial *66.
  4. If the line is still busy:
    1. Listen for an announcement telling you the number is busy.
    2. Hang up.
    3. You will hear a distinctive ring when the line is free.
    4. Your call will be automatically dialed when you lift the handset.
  5. If the Line is not busy:
    1. Listen for Ringing.
    2. Wait for an answer.

To Cancel Automatic Call Back:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *86.
  3. Listen for the voice instructions.

Note:

  • When the line is free you will be alerted with a special ringing, and the call will automatically be made.
  • You can also use Automatic Callback to redial the last number you called.
Automatic Recall

Allows you to dial a code and have a call automatically returned to the last party who called or attempted to call you.

To Use Automatic Recall:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *69.
  3. Listen for the announcement telling the last number that you called.
    1. To call this number, press 1.
  4. If the line is busy:
    1. Listen for the announcement telling you the number is busy.
    2. Hang up.
    3. You will hear a distinctive ring when the line is free.
    4. Your call will automatically dial when you lift the handset.
  5. If the line is not busy:
    1. Listen for ringing.
    2. Wait for an answer.

To Cancel Automatic Recall:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *89.
  3. Listen for voice instructions.

 

Budget Long Distance

Set a limit to your Long Distance Calling.

  • Now with Budget Long Distance you can limit your monthly long distance bill. Simply set a limit of how much you want to spend on long distance, and the Budget Long Distance system will limit your calling to that number of minutes.
    • More convenient then prepaid long distance cards.
    • Low Cost.
    • No monthly phone bill surprises.

Notes:

  • Certain restrictions apply.
  • You must sign up for both in-state and out-of-state long distance with 24-7 & West Wisconsin Telcom Long Distance.
  • Direct dialing to Hawaii, Alaska, and international numbers are not permitted with this service.
  • Taxes are not included in the per-minute rate.
Call Forward Busy

Allows callers to be redirected to another telephone number if the line they are calling is busy.

To Activate Call Forward Busy:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *90.
  3. Wait for two beeps.
  4. When the dial tone returns, dial the telephone number where you want your calls to be forwarded.
  5. The distant telephone will ring. When it is answered, Call Forward Don’t Answer will be established.

To Cancel Call Forward Don’t Answer:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *91.
  3. When you hear two beeps of dial tone, Call Forward Don’t Answer has been cancelled.

Note:

If you receive a busy signal or no answer on the first try, you can still establish the Call Forward feature. Hang up and repeat the first four steps within two minutes. Call Forward feature is activated immediately regardless of the state of the transferred-to destination. Verification that the Call Forward feature is in effect is indicated by two beeps of dial tone.

Call Forward Don’t Answer

Allows callers to be redirected to another telephone number if the line they are calling is not answered after a set number of rings.

To Activate Call Forward Don’t Answer:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *92.
  3. Wait for two beeps.
  4. When the dial tone returns, dial the telephone number where you want your calls to be forwarded.
  5. The distant telephone will ring. When it is answered, Call Forward Don’t Answer will be established.

To Cancel Call Forward Don’t Answer:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *93.
  3. When you hear two beeps of dial tone, Call Forward Don’t Answer has been cancelled.

Note:

If you receive a busy signal or no answer on the first try, you can still establish the Call Forward feature. Hang up and repeat the first four steps within two minutes. Call Forward feature is activated immediately regardless of the state of the transferred-to destination. Verification that the Call Forward feature is in effect is indicated by two beeps of dial tone.

Call Forward Remote Access

Enables you to activate or cancel your Call Forwarding from a phone other than your own.

To Activate or Deactivate Call Forward Remote Access:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial 715 plus your exchange (875, 874, 876, 772, 664, or 283) then dial 0999. For example 715-664-0999.
  3. Wait for the confirmation tone.
  4. Dial your 7 digit home number followed by your PIN number.
  5. Wait for confirmation tone.
  6. To activate, dial *72 followed by the number you want your call to forward to.
  7. To deactivate, dial *73, wait for two beeps, Call Forwarding will be cancelled.

Notes:

A PIN is required to use Call Forward Remote Access. When purchasing this feature a PIN will be assigned to you by the Telco.

 

Call Forwarding

Allows you to transfer incoming calls to any number that can be dialed from your telephone.

To Use Call Forwarding:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *72.
  3. Wait for two beeps.
  4. When the dial tone returns, dial the telephone number where you want your calls to be forwarded.
  5. The distant telephone will ring. When it is answered, Call Forwarding will be established.

To Cancel Call Forwarding:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *73.
  3. When you hear two beeps of dial tone, Call Forwarding has been cancelled.

Note:

If you receive a busy signal or no answer on the first try, you can still establish the call Forwarding feature. Hang up and repeat the first four steps within two minutes. The Call Forwarding feature is activated immediately, regardless of the state of the transferred-to destination. Verification that Call Forwarding is in effect is indicated by two beeps of dial tone.

 

Call Transfer

Enables you to transfer an established call to a third party but will terminate your end of the call.

To Use Call Transfer:

  1. Depress the hook switch or press the flash button for one second to put your call on hold.
  2. Listen for the distinctive dial tone.
  3. Dial the number where you want to transfer the call.
  4. When the new party answers, the call will be transferred.
  5. If you receive a busy signal or no answer when calling the new party, depress the hook switch or press the flash button twice for one second each time. This cancels the call to the new party and reconnects you to the first call.

Note:

You must have Three-Way Calling on your line to activate Call Transfer.

 

Call Waiting

Alerts you with a beep during a telephone conversation that another call is waiting to be answered.

To Use Call Waiting:

If you want to hold a call while answering a second call, depress the hook switch or press the flash button for one second. The second party will be on the line. You may alternate between calls by depressing the hook switch or by pressing the flash button.

If you want to end the first call, hang up. Your telephone will ring, and the second call will be on the line.

Customer Activated Call Blocking

Allows subscriber to restrict certain dialed numbers with a PIN number.

Caller ID Blocking (*67)

Allows you to block your name and telephone number from being displayed during outgoing calls.

To Activate Caller ID Blocking:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *67 followed by the phone number you are calling.

Notes:

This must be done each time you make a call.

 

Caller ID Number

Allows a special display unit to show the calling party’s telephone number.

To Use Caller ID:

  1. Wait for the start of a second full ring of your phone set.
  2. The telephone number of the calling party will appear on your display.

Notes:

  • The Caller ID unit can be a separate display box or can be as one unit with your telephone.
  • For more information, please refer to the instructions for your Caller ID display device.
Caller ID Name & Number

Allows a special display unit to show the calling party’s name and/or telephone number.

To Use Caller ID:

  1. Wait for the start of a second full ring of your phone set.
  2. The name and/or telephone number of the calling party will appear on your display.

Notes:

  • The Caller ID unit can be a separate display box or can be as one unit with your telephone.
  • For more information, please refer to the instructions for your Caller ID display device.

 

Caller ID Call Waiting

When you are receiving a beep indicating a call is waiting to be answered, Caller ID Call Waiting displays the calling party’s name and telephone number on your Caller ID unit.

 

Cancel Call Waiting

Allows you to cancel the Call Waiting feature on a per call basis.

To Use Cancel Call Waiting before making a telephone call:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *70.
  3. Wait for the dial tone to return.
  4. Dial your outgoing call as you normally would.

To Use Cancel Call Waiting during an established call:

  1. Place your call on hold by depressing the hook switch or pressing the flash button.
  2. Dial *70.
  3. Wait for the two bursts of dial tone.
  4. Depress the hook switch or press the flash button twice to return to your original call.
  5. This may not be done if you are receiving a Call Waiting beep for a new incoming call.

Notes:

  • After each call using the Cancel Call Waiting feature, Call Waiting will be re-established on your line.
CO Toll Restriction

CO Toll Restriction restricts calls based on level of screening in the central office.

Enhanced Conference

Internet Enhanced Conference allows businesses to manage conferences via a web interface.

A visual display shows who is on the conference call and you can manage multiple aspects of the conference such as adding or removing callers, adjusting volume settings, and mute/unmute callers right from the internet.

 

Long Distance Freeze

Long Distance Freeze prevents an unauthorized change in your long distance provider.

 

Message Waiting Light

Informs a user that there is a message via a light on the phone.

 

Message Waiting Indication

Informs a user that there is a message via stutter dial tone when handset is lifted.

 

Multi-Ring (Teen Line)

Allows you to have two different numbers on your single phone line.

  • Each number will have a distinctive ring pattern.
  • These same ring patters will occur during a Call Waiting notification.

 

Originating Call Manager

Originating Call Manager service gives you the ability to allow or block calls to specific numbers and call types that are placed from your phone. Call types include international calls, operator, long distance, and local calls.

Personal Billing

Long Distance Calling separated on the telephone billing.

  • Our Personal Billing is a convenient and easy way to track each person’s long distance charges. No more haggling over telephone bills!
  • When you sign up for Personal Billing, each person receives a four-digit Persona Identification Number (PIN). Then, each time you place a long distance call, the system will prompt you to enter your PIN.

 

Selective Call Acceptance

Allows you to create a list of phone numbers from which you are willing to accept calls.

To Use Selective Call Acceptance:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *64.
  3. Listen to the voice instructions which will guide you through the steps of how to:
    1. Turn Selective Call Acceptance On or Off.
    2. Make changes to your Selective Call Acceptance List.

Notes:

  • Calls from numbers not contained on your list are sent to an announcement that informs the callers that you are not receiving calls at this time.
  • All other Calls will ring at your phone as normal.

 

Selective Call Forwarding

Allows you to create a list of phone numbers that are to be forwarded when they call you.

To Use Selective Call Forwarding:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *63.
  3. Listen to the voice instructions which will guide you through the steps of how to:
    1. Turn Selective Call Forwarding On or Off.
    2. Make changes to your Selective Call Forwarding List.

Notes:

  • All other calls will ring at your phone as normal.

 

Selective Call Rejection

Allows you to create a list of phone numbers from which you do not wish to receive calls.

To Use Selective Call Rejection.

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *60.
  3. Listen to the voice instructions which will guide you through the steps of how to :
    1. Turn Selective Call Rejection On and Off.
    2. Make changes to your Selective Call Rejection List.

Notes:

  • Calls from numbers on your list are sent to an announcement that informs the callers that you are not receiving calls at this time.
  • All other calls will ring at your phone as normal.

 

Selective Distinctive Ringing

Allows you to create a list of phone numbers that will have a special ring pattern.

To Use Selective Distinctive Ringing:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *61.
  3. Listen to the voice instructions which will guide you through the steps of how to:
    1. Turn Selective Distinctive Ringing On or Off
    2. Make changes to your Selective Distinctive Ring List.

Notes:

  • Your phone will ring with a normal pattern for all other numbers.
  • If you have Call Waiting, you will hear a distinctive tone whenever someone on your list calls you.

 

Speed Call 8

Makes it easier to reach people who are most important to you.

To Program Speed Calling:

  1. Listen for the dial tone.
  2. Dial *74.
  3. When the dial tone returns, select a code. Use codes 2 to 9.
  4. Dial the code you have selected and complete 10-digit telephone number including “1” (if needed) and press #.
  5. Two beeps of dial tone will indicate that the number is now recorded in your list.

To Call you Speed Call Number:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial the speed dialing code and the # key you have selected.

Notes: Speed calls can be used from any telephone on your line.

 

Call Screening

If annoying telemarketers are interrupting your daily routine, why not tell them how you really feel?

Calls from telemarketers are typically delivered to your phone as unknown or out-of-area. This unique service intercepts these calls, and announces that you do not accept calls from telemarketers. The great thing is, your phone doesn’t even ring! It also instructs telemarketers to add your name to their “DO NOT CALL” list. Other callers will be advised to stay on the line to be connected.

To Use Call Screening:

After receiving a call from a number you would like added to your blocked list:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *97.

To play the options menu:

  1. Listen for dial tone.
  2. Dial *98.
  3. Listen to the voice instructions.
Three-Way Calling

Allows you to add a third party to an existing conversation.

To Use Three-Way Calling:

  1. During a current phone call, depress the hook switch or press the flash button to put the first call on hold.
  2. Listen for the distinctive dial tone.
  3. Dial the number of your second call.
  4. When your second call is answered, bring the first call back to the conversation by depressing the hook switch or pressing the flash button.
  5. If you receive a busy signal or there is no answer to your second call, depress the hook switch or press the flash button for one second. This cancels the second call and reconnects you to your original conversation.

To Disconnect a Three-Way Call:

  1. When the originating party hangs up, all parties are disconnected.
  2. If one party hangs up, you can continue talking to the other party.
  3. If one party hangs up during the conversation, you can add a new third party using the steps listed above.

 

Toll Blocking

Block 900 numbers, Third party numbers, and/or Collect calls.

 

Warm Line

Automatically dials a pre-designated number when the phone is taken off-hook and dialing does not commence within a specified interval of 1 to 28 seconds.

 

Hunt Group

Redirect your incoming calls from busy lines to idle lines in a predetermined sequence.
If no lines are open, calls can be sent to a Voice Mailbox.

 

Wire Maintenance Plan

Events occur everyday that could damage wires; vacuuming, moving furniture, snags, and pets causing your telephone service to be interrupted.

A Wire Maintenance Plan with West Wisconsin Telcom / 24-7 Telcom essentially serves as insurance for your residential or business telephone service and covers the wiring and jacks in your home or business.

 

For a small monthly fee you could save time, money and hassle if you experience service problems and require repairs. Wire Maintenance from West Wisconsin Telcom / 24-7 Telcom includes the diagnosis, repair, and/or replacement to existing telephone wiring and jacks inside your home or business. The plan provides both the labor and materials necessary to perform the repairs. Inside wiring is defined as the wire that runs from the NID (Network Interface Device) or the ONT (Optical Network Terminal) to the telephone jacks.

Conference Bridge

This feature allows businesses to request and reserve a number for their upcoming conference call. With online access meeting notices with instructions can be emailed to attendees, and manage the conference while it’s in progress.

Account Code Plus

Gain a more accurate understanding of your Long Distance Calling. Account Code Plus can help your company manage its long distance costs, automate cost accounting of long distance charges, and increase the ability to monitor the long distance calling of employees, roommates, or family members.

  • Account Codes can be set up for each authorized employee, or by client project, or in any manner that best suits your company’s needs.
  • With Account Code Plus, the minutes of use or the sub-total of charges for each Account Code is provided on the monthly long distance bill.
Call Waiting
