1. How long does it take to have a website designed?
The length of time really depends upon many factors:
a. The scale and size of the website.
b. Availability of the materials such as text, content and images you are supplying to us.
c. Amount of custom graphics design, custom database programming and multi-media work involved.
The biggest factor is obtaining the written content and images for the website that you need to provide.
2. How much does it cost to design a website?
Since no two websites are exactly the same, a general pricelist doesn't really apply.
Unlike some other companies we don't use standard website templates. Every website we create is custom-designed to meet the needs and personality of your business.
Typically we will quote a price once a sitemap structure is developed which allows for minor additions and changes without incurring extra fees.
Custom programming or database driven projects are billed on an hourly basis with projected cost outlines that are pre-approved by you.
3. Will I be able to see how many visitors I've had to my website?
Yes, our web hosting includes website statistics and analysis of visits, time-tracking data, search engine keywords, and much more.
4. I already have a website and I need it updated, can you help me?
Yes. We can usually redesign or freshen up an existing website faster, and for less money than building one from scratch.
5. Do you redesign existing websites?
Yes we do. We will retain your company’s corporate style or we can redesign the site to give you a completey new image.
6. How do people find my website?
In addition to search engines such as Google and Yahoo, there are many ways to help visitors find your website which include: placing your email and website address on all of your pamphlets and promotional material, business cards and signatures at the bottom of all your e-mails. A good business marketing campaign should include your website.
7. Can you guarantee my site will appear on the first page in Google?
We code all sites as much as possible to perform well in search engines, however this process (known as optimization) is not an exact science and we can make no specific guarantees. The most important item is to have plenty of well written content.
8. What do I, as the customer, need to provide for the website?
You need to supply us with the written content and images (ie. logos, product photos).
We have a supply of stock photos that can be used on websites, but stock photos don't display your unique style and products as well as you own.
9. Where do we start?
Step One: Choosing a Domain Name: We will give suggetions for a domain name and will help search for available names. A domain name is the website address visitors will use to get to your website (www.yourcompany.com). The cost to register a domain name is $19.95/year.
Step Two: Setting up the Domain Hosting: To set up website hosting, a domain hosting application will need to be filled out (plans begin at $19.95/month).
Step Three: Designing the Website: This is where the look, feel, and content of the website are determined and created.
Step Four: Marketing Your Website: It is important to be thinking about the marketing of your website as it is being designed. See FAQ #6 above.
